We wee lucky to stay in room number 7 which was the best room in the house. Spacious, big window, two beds with all the necessary amenities. The house is well located near the city center although beware of the steps if you come by foot from the station ;) We recommend this place in Inverness.

Book your restaurant early on and for European travelers be ready to eat very early (6pm i rush hour and you may not get good afterwards ^^) We recommend waking alongside the river Ness up to the Ness islands and back.

Had a lovely two night stay in room 5. Very convenient for my work trip. Overnight parking just across the road for £2 in a city centre is very good. Host couldn’t do enough and was very welcoming. Room was spotless, comfortable and had everything I needed. Return of a breakfast service would be an advantage and the water pressure in the shower is a little low. Neither of these things would stop me from booking again. Hopefully see you again soon.

Download the Ringo app to make paying for the car park easier. Turn right out of the door and go straight down Market Brae Steps to land right in the city centre. Try out local independent cafes and eateries for good value meals, avoid the big chains. Accessible walking routes right along the River Ness.

Only stayed for one night accomodation was first class ,hosts couldn't be more helpful definitely be back here if I'm up this way again. Ideally situated approximately five minute walk to bars and restaurants. Recommend this place definitely.

I would definitely recommend this hotel, we will definitely pass here when we go back to Inverness. I don't have anything negative to say, big room, clean and good bed, amazing location, nice host... First I had my question around the limited check in time, but now I consider it as a present. The accommodations were great! The whole place was very clean, the concierge was incredibly helpful and it was the first room we have stayed in while in Scotland that has a bathtub and shower. Also, an excellent breakfast was included with the room.

Highly recommend this guest house. I received such a warm and friendly welcome after a long train journey from London to Inverness, the host waited for me to arrive (which was at night) and that made my experience so smooth and easy! The guest house is perfectly located for the train station and city centre and only 15 mins from the airport. The road itself was silent, so I had a wonderful sleep! I hope to return soon.

I stayed in a tiny single room, which was very clean and comfortable. It had a sink (which was a nice feature) and the layout effectively made the most of the small space. It was no problem at all to share the toilet with one other room across the hallway. The location is fabulous, assuming visitors have no mobility difficulties - a 5-10 min walk from everything in town, yet quiet.

There's often wonderful traditional music at Gellions! Also lovely music and people at MacGregor's, especially if you're looking for a crowd that's mostly 30s+. I also loved the walk to the Ness Islands and beyond, to the Caledonian Canal (https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/lochness/Riverness.shtml and this whole website's a great source of highland walks info)

Cherry was very friendly and gave very helpful advice on practicalities like where to eat and local attractions. The location was great and the two rooms we had were comfortable for our family group of five. The only downside was the very low water pressure on the showers in our rooms. We had a good time and will stay again.

The location is handy for city centre with restaurants and cafes all within walking distance. The visitor information centre is very helpful and is located close to shops just down the steps at the end of the street from the guest house.

The owners were very friendly and helpful. We had to check out very early and they offered us instead of the cooked breakfast a very substantial bagged lunch for our 8 hour train ride. The cooked breakfast was great. The room was small and the en suite about as tiny as you could get, but the price was affordable and everything was clean and tidy and functional, so no complaints.

There was a laundry not far away with a wash and fold service that was quick and easy to use.

Wonderful staff who were always inquiring as to whether I had everything I needed, whether I was enjoying my stay, so on. Breakfast was awesome, loved having a pot of tea in the morning, and the room was exactly as shown and described. The perfect base for my stop in Inverness!

Plenty of places to eat and drink in Inverness; Cafe 1 on Castle Street was particularly nice. Busses to getting places can be few and far between so be sure to look up the timetables before setting your alarm for the next morning!

Again, I have had a lovely stay here. This is my Inverness home! I was looked after so well and the breakfasts were just right! Friendly and helpful hosts, who made my stay even better! To begin with, the reservation process was very easy. The house is beautiful and quiet on a beautiful street, close to the City Centre and train and rail stations. The food was excellent!!! This is a nice guesthouse where we spent a very cosy and peaceful night at the top of the building. We were very well welcomed with recommandations about Inverness. Yes there are many stairs to arrive but with a backpack it is quite ok ! The breakfast is good and the salon allows to meet other guests which is always nice in a guesthouse! I’ve stayed at PHGH twice now and each time it’s like returning to stay with good friends. Ian and Ann are superlative hosts ensuring my every desire is met...especially the haggis for breakfast. Their professional approach and sincere desire to make my stay in Inverness enjoyable receive high marks indeed. Thank you.

The location is minutes from the travel center, local churches, shopping and top flight restaurants: Encore for quality dining and Johnnie Foxes if you seek a loud , bustling atmosphere and better than expected pub food. Should concerts be your want you need not attend in person as the music effectively jumps the Ness and streams up the hill...and at no extra charge.

Very close to the City Centre of Inverness. I would counsel to visit the Tourism centre and check all the offers to this area of the Highlands. Only stayed one night, but would counsel others to stay at least two nights if possible.

A lovely guest house conveniently situated just steps above the town’s center. While the rooms and bathrooms are tiny, we felt at home in this cozy spot and enjoyed walking around the pretty neighborhood. Cherry was quite attentive with her breakfast offerings and recommendations for great restaurants nearby!

Eat at the Mustard Seed and The Kitchen Brasserrie- Sister restaurants on opposite side of the river with excellent, fresh food and wonderful service. Walk to the river isles, just 15 min from the castle, and explore the botanical gardens on the other side. Visit the Inverness Museum - it’s free and offers great history. Visit the Eden Theater for Art exhibits and live performances.

We were warmly greeted by our host Cherry. We only stayed one night as we were leaving early the next morning to tour the Orkney Islands. Since we were leaving before breakfast was served, Cherry packed us each a wonderful lunch. It really was good, thoughtful, and hit the spot! Our room was on the top floor, spotless, and the new bed was so comfy! We would reccomend a stay here, and Cherry has many good dining choices to reccomend!

We are a couple that spent 4 nights and were very happy at Park Hill. Clean room, god breakfast , nice chatting with Cherry the owner. All great.

Restaurants: Fig & Thisle and The Mustard Seed. Nice panorama view from the castle. If time permits the promenade by the river - both sides.

I stayed at this lovely house as it is 5 minutes from the rail station , where I had to catch the 07:55 back to Yorkshire . I had previously read reviews of this I now know as a little gem . I was greeted on entry where I advised the owner I would have to leave before the set breakfast time of 08:00 - 09:00 - no problem , the owner provided me with a "packup" to take on the train next morning. I stayed in room 5 which other reviewers have complained as small - what do they want for the money from a B+B in a city centre and close to all amenities .I have stayed in smaller rooms all around the country at more expense. Room 5 was spotlessly clean , warm and very quiet with on-suite shower / toilet . I had a desk with power point for my laptop . The TV is absolutely adequate for a room of this size . You can pay a bit more for a bland , further away chain hotel which I can guarantee you will have doors banging all night and its a bland breakfast of something left outside your door / reception. I always support local B+Bs so please come here if you are are a business traveller.

This place is so close to the city centre that you can just walk down the steps into the main street and choose from many places to eat from your fast food outlets to chinese , Indian or fine dining hotels .
